Seven wrestlers released by World Wrestling Entertainment on April 22, 2010 are now free to join TNA Wrestling (or any wrestling promotion for that matter) as their respective 90-day no-compete clauses have expired. Among those let go that fateful day were Mickie James, Shelton Benjamin, Katie Lea Burchill, Jimmy Wang Yang, Slam Master J, Kung Fu Naki and Mike Knox.

The contractual clause was put in place to prohibit wrestlers from immediately competing with nationally televised promotions following their release.

This post will be a surprise to many of you who visit this awesome site, and specially to Jenna, our founder. Well, as you can see, a new theme is here and I’m loving it! I hope Jenna and many of you can say the same. If it’s not pleasing to Jenna’s eyes, I will kindly return the old theme back. But I just thought about sharing this theme I created a while ago. The Big Bang Bar Corporation collectively raised $10,000 for the Songs of Love Foundation, and celebrated the culmination of three months of fundraising on July 1st, 2010.

World Champion Wrestling Star and Country Artist Mickie James, Songs of Love Founder John Beltzer, and Big Bang performer, Geoff Smith led the crowds of all four clubs to sing along to the song that Geoff wrote for a special young child.

Each club had their own creative ways of raising money and it became a friendly competition to see which Big Bang location would earn the most money for Songs of Love.

A special music video of the song with footage from the event is due to be released very soon. Stay tuned to watch the video, but subscribing to this blog.

Accomplishments: Mickie is a five-time WWE Women’s Champion and a one-time WWE Divas Champion. She is the second diva to have held both the Women’s and Divas titles.

Why: Oh Mickie, we miss you so much! Mickie James was one of the best women wrestlers left in the WWE before she was released. Her matches with Trish Stratus and Michelle McCool are classics. Now, with her gone and others (Beth Phoenix and Melina) injured, the WWE Women’s division is left to cheerleaders, dancers, and former models. Dixie Carter was seen at Mickie James’ album release party, so we can hope that Mickie will go to TNA.

Well, there are the best women wrestlers right now. Hopefully WWE and TNA will realize what amazing talents these are and use them properly.

On Thursday, August 5th, Nashville Rhythm and Race Fest rolls into Music City ready to share the ultimate NASCAR experience. Brought to you by The Professional Race Truck Transporters Association (PRTTA) and Powerhouse Entertainment Group, this year’s event will benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation of Middle Tennessee.

The colorful NASCAR haulers will pull in to Limelight in Nashville to gear up for a night of good times and good music for a great cause. The PRTTA makes it possible for race teams to travel all over the country and are giving fans a behind-the-scenes look into NASCAR’s state-of-the-art haulers from 5 PM to 9 PM. Entertainment will kick off at 7 p.m. with Reno Collier hosting the event and featured performances by Trent Tomlinson and Mickie James.
